The history of TFT: Dr. Roger Callahan, a clinical psychologist in California, discovered and developed TFT, Thought Field Therapy, in the 1980s. TFT is a highly effective, drug-free and non-invasive way to reduce or eliminate even chronic pain without the use of medications. It works with nature's healing system combining the acupressure meridian system and modern psychology to balance the body's energy system.

Using TFT to address problems allows balance in the body's energy system and allows you to eliminate most negative emotions within minutes and promote the body's own healing ability. While using TFT with our clients, we provide common recipes (algorithms) or codes for natural healing. TFT energy tapping can also be used in addition to your medications to reduce the risk associated with continued medication use and to enhance their effect.

The history of EFT: Gary Craig became a student of Dr. Roger Callahan in the 1990s. He created Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) in 1995. This technique also integrates the Chinese meridian system into the therapy process by tapping on meridian points with your fingertips. EFT can, if done properly, reduce the conventional therapy process from weeks, months or years to a fraction of that time.

What's the difference between EFT and TFT? EFT is considered a "one stop shop" tapping procedure where all points are tapped during the procedure. TFT is a more focused approach and has specific algorithms or routines for individual issues. TFT uses a tapping point called the Psychological Reversal (PR) point as a separate treatment whereas EFT uses it in all treatments and calls it the "Karate Chop Point." TFT relies on the person thinking about their issue while EFT has the person saying a specific phrase out loud. 

What can I expect during my first EFT and TFT session? You will be asked to fill out a health form and questionnaire prior to your first appointment. We will start by reviewing your form and discussing why you are coming and what you expect to get out of your EFT/TFT sessions.  You will receive a brief introduction to Emotional Freedom Technique and Thought Field Therapy, and will be taught the different points where to tap. Notes are encouraged to keep record of what happens after each session. It is beneficial for you to share what has been changing and what you’d like to work on at each session.
